The Goan Ideal

I recently took a chill out holiday in south Goa and have to say that it must be one of the most idealic places in the world. Travel from Novemebr to March and you will have clear blue skies, temperatures constantly around 30 degrees centigrade, true clean golden sandy beaches fringed with palme trees, and water that is so wwarm it is a delight to enter and spend long periods of time, swimming, enjoying the occasional wave, or just floating !

The beaches starting 15 minutes of Goa airport extend unbroken by even a river estuary for about 26 km and, even better, there are only occasional hotels resulting in large expanses of beach with practically no people. In the early morning you will see some fishermen using traditional methods for brining in their catch and folding and repairing nets on the beach, Sometimes the dolphins swim along the shore in the early morning or evening and even the occasional elephant and buffalo come down for a swim.

I have travelled to many destinations but would find it hard to select amore tranquil setting for a holiday of complete relaxation.
